Healthy & Simple Wheat-Free Pancake Recipe

Who doesn't love pancakes for breakfast? Sweet and fluffy - each bite is like a little party in your mouth. However, typically loaded with sugar, butter and flour, pancakes aren't usually the healthiest of options for those watching their waistline. But that certainly doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to these flat treats. 

If you're looking for a healthy (and gluten-free) alternative to the typical pancake recipe - or are even just lazy and want to whip up some flapjacks in under 5 minutes with just basic ingredients, this is for you!

Gluten free pancakes banana oat

This simple recipe uses only 5 ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes to do. Single serving: makes 3 medium-sized pancakes. 


  • Eggs (3)
  • Rolled Oats (1/2 cup)
  • Banana (1)
  • Ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • Blueberries (1/2 cup)

Combine all the above ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth (usually about 20-30 seconds). Heat a non-stick skillet on high/medium heat. Pour batter onto heated pan and let the bottom solidify.

With a spatula, nudge the edges of the pancake until you can slip the spatula underneath. Flip upside down and let bake for another minute. Voila! Add honey or maple syrup and enjoy these healthy, guilt-free pancakes!

Optional: You can make these pancakes more flavorful if you add:

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds (or any of your choice)
