Hitting the slopes for the first time and not sure what to pack? Here's a check list of clothes and accessories to bring along to make sure you look as fresh as that powder on and off the slopes.
Clothes
Jacket - Possibly the most important item on this checklist, invest in a great water-proof and highly insulated jacket that will outlast you! (REI)
Wool turtleneck - Choose a thick wool or cashmere version you can wear for après ski and pair with a pair of tailored pants or jeans.
Long underwear - Don't leave home without long johns! You'll end up wearing them all day and most likely sleeping in them as well. (Jockey)
Warm boots - Make sure you have water resistant boots - if they're lined in wool to keep your feet extra warm, that's even better. (BUTTE boot, UGG Australia)
Long-sleeve t-shirts - Great for layering underneath sweaters, ones with insulating technology are highly recommended, like the HeatTech collection from Uniqlo.
Warm slipper socks - For snuggling near the fire place and keeping feet warm once back in the chalet, make sure you bring your Tibetan Socks.
Wool hat - A knit beanie is a stylish solution to keep heat from escaping your head!
Gloves - Choose a pair of performance gloves for the slopes and a pair of stylish wool or cashmere lined ones for trips to town.
Swimsuit - Because every good ski resort also have a jacuzzi!
Scarf
